The Denver Alliance for Response Forum was held on September 25, 2010 at the Denver Public Library in Denver, CO. Future plans include creating a local listserv, conducting a survey of Forum participants on progress with preparedness efforts, participating in the Colorado Emergency Preparedness Partnership, and developing a tabletop exercise in cooperation with the Denver Office of Emergency Management.
In Colorado, members of the cultural resources community, including Denver Alliance for Response, met with the Colorado Division of Emergency Management (CDEM) in January of 2012 to discuss the scope of cultural resources within the state’s existing emergency preparedness efforts. CDEM invited the cultural resources community to create a Cultural Resources Task Force to continue working with CDEM to develop the state’s capacity in the areas of response, recovery, mitigation, and preparedness.
In August 2010, a survey was created and sent to the 85 participants that had attended the2009 Denver Alliance for Response Forum. Click here to see the survey results.
